Mixing Florals + Cheetah Print for Fall

Photography by Madi Flournoy Henderson
Welcome back!  Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve unintentionally taken time off from weekly posts here on KBStyled.  We went to Disney World for Fall break, had family in town, and just last week, Addison broke her arm.  Two weeks of lots of fun and some unexpected firsts.
As you can imagine, things have been a bit busy (and chaotic at times) but I’m so glad to be back here with YOU.  I have a lot of great posts planned so stay tuned and check back here often, especially as we head into the holiday season at full speed!  I mean, can you believe it is already Halloween?!  I know I can’t.  Reins is going to be a skeleton this year and Addison, a friendly ghost.
We’ve really been enjoying a lot of Fall activities as well and it has finally started to cool off here in Nashville.  We actually had frost on the ground this morning…a little too chilly for me but I’m happy to now truly experience the joys of Fall, the cooler weather included.
As you know, cooler temps typically means that we all get to start layering up a bit more and wearing light jackets.  I’ve been excited to share today’s look with you all because it just so happens to be one of my all time favorite layered Fall looks.
I love Fall florals and this blouse and skirt immediately caught my attention.  I love the rich black backdrop with the green and yellow floral print.  I’m also a huge fan of mixing prints and in my opinion, there is nothing better than florals paired with a fun cheetah print.  I fell hard for this gorgeous, and super affordable, cheetah print coat.  It’s not a heavy coat but it’s perfect for layering this time of year.
To dress down this look a bit, pair the blouse & coat with your favorite pair of dark denim.  I’ve worn both with these black distressed jeans.  You can also wear the skirt with a chunky sweater and knee high boots.  All of these pieces are super versatile…you can create so many different looks.
I’d love to hear how you will be spending Halloween and/or if you have any fun Fall traditions!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by and again, thank you for your patience as I get ramped back up here on the blog.  I appreciate each and every one of you!
